I am a qualified teacher who has been teaching health and social care at further education level for over 5 years. I also still work within the industry at the local acute and community hospitals. As well as health related subjects I am able to teach the science subject of biology especially anatomy and physiology. My teaching style will adapt to suit the learners needs, for example, if someone is more visual I will ensure the lesson uses as many visual aids as possible. I am very activity based as I do not believe in death by PowerPoint. I will assess the learner throughout the lesson building upon their knowledge and understanding as relevant. If several sessions are booked for me I will ensure home learning is set in between. I am proficient in English language so will be able to provide feedback not only on their understanding of health and social care but on spelling, punctuation and grammar too.
