We will always start with a fun warm up - a game, a conversation just to get you into the flow of things and we will then study some material. After, we will look to complete a worksheet to practice the knowledge you’ve just acquired. We will then go over the task together - anything that is confusing or you felt you were struggling with, we will have a conversation about and then look further into it.
Depending on how much you’d like to get out of the lessons, I’ll set optional homework, completely up to you whether you’d like to do it or not. Again, these lessons are for you!
In terms of my experience, I’m half English and half Spanish. I attended Spanish lessons to help facilitate my language learning from the age of 7 to 16. It’s because of those lessons that made me the Spanish speaker/writer/reader and listener I am today - fluent and confident. But it also showed me what is helpful for a language student but what can also be detrimental.
I have tutored Spanish to serveral students of all levels, and in April of this year I gained my TEFL certificate so I could learn to teach students English as a Foreign Language. I therefore look forward to being able to put this into practice with new students who may be completely new to the language - and that’s where the joy of it is!
