My methods

- First and foremost, we need to find your level. With simple level testing in the first class testing all your skills in order to prepare the classes most suited to you.

- Secondly, it is important for me that classes are led by you! Consistency is key to learning a language! If one day you are feeling chatty, tell me! If one day you're not feeling up to it, tell me! If one day you lack confidence, tell me! If one day you need a specific focus, tell me! My classes are designed for you! I do not want any student to miss a single class due to lack of motivation! You may need grammar one day, but not feel up to it. That's fine! Let's play a game instead! You're still learning!

Reading
My reading tasks are formulated to help teach vocabulary and pronunciation. Correcting you on the spot, asking you questions to ensure you understand, pointing out expressions, grammar that will help you with your writings too is paramount. Reading doesn't have to be as boring as the exam makes it look!

Writing
I have eight years of experience proof reading, correcting and marking writings. If you wish to be given a writing task at the end of the class, I welcome it! When it comes to proof reading the writings, I will first correct it, then we will spend a class correcting it together. Writing can be one of the hardest things in English. With more than 30% of native speakers have dyslexia, of course it is difficult for a non-native to grasp these skills. Together we can smash it!

Speaking
The key to success when learning another language, is losing the embarrassment whilst speaking. If you don't make mistakes, you are not learning! I welcome mistakes! I welcome poor pronunciation! I welcome nervous students! With my corrections you will see a difference after just a few classes with me! Whether you want to practice exam style speaking, topic based, free conversion, business English etc, you will improve with every method.

Listening
I am a strong believer that TV, music, radio, podcasts and conversations are the best way to improve your listening skills. Depending on your genre preferences, I will set you small homework tasks to listen and analyse certain parts of the, show, song etc. Together we can review this.

Grammar
I love grammar! I love teaching it! I love analysing it! I love being asked questions I don't know the answers to! Imagine being a student of ESL/EFL and saying, "I love grammar." With me as your teacher, your perception of grammar will drastically change! I have many techniques to sneak grammar into your classes without you even noticing. I am here for your questions and I am here for your grammar needs.
