Hi! My name is Hannah and I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences (Anatomy) BSc at university and will be applying to study Medicine after I have completed this degree. I aspire to become a neurosurgeon and am very fond of learning and education. In my spare time, I play a variety of instruments, including the guitar and violin, and also enjoy reading. To keep active, I am a member of the university's cheerleading squad and frequent the gym. I am very keen to tutor and help others to achieve their academic goals.

Lesson information:
As a tutor, I am aware of the fact that every student learns differently. Keeping this in mind, I tailor each of my lessons to the individual to ensure they are getting as much out of the session as possible.
In my first lesson, I start with a discussion about how the student learns best, what their personal goals are for tutoring, and also spend some time allowing introductions between myself and the student.
In a regular lesson, I like to start off with the aims and objectives of the lesson, allowing the student to understand what will be taught in the lesson and also what they are expected to know by the end of the lesson. Following this, I spend some time recapping the previous lesson, focusing on any ideas or questions that the student found more challenging and ensuring those concerns are addressed before moving on. We then move onto the main content of the lesson, where I teach and allow the student to ask as many questions as they need. To ensure the student has a good understanding of the content, we follow this with some questions. Any questions the student gets stuck on, we work through together, ensuring full understanding before moving on. To finish the lesson, I like to recap what we have learnt and also where we will go from here.
After every lesson, I send feedback to the parents/carers, so that they are able to follow the student's progress after each lesson they attend.
