I have developed vital skills that are required to be a reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated teacher, enabling all pupils to flourish, using creative and integrated teaching approaches. Through assignment work, I developed research skills, allowing me to reinforce practical classroom elements. As a phonics ambassador, I promoted the importance of phonics in the early years to KS2 curriculum. Phonics is required alongside speech and language, reading, and writing for effective communication and expression. I have carried out formative and summative assessments, on the spot marking and verbal feedback. I have provided adaptive teaching resources for SEND and EAL pupils. Children who had speech and language difficulties and who did not have English as their first language focused on 6 spellings, other children had 10 spellings. I paired a child whose first language was not English with another child who was confident and sociable to support the learning and development of both children. I have panned and implemented EAL resources, assisting learning with technology, pair/group work, along with translated materials.
