I love to engage pupils creatively in English, and believe that the best learning comes when children of all ages are having fun and doing something they enjoy. I like to teach English in a book or text based approach, as this offers rich discussions and opportunity for creativity. I am trained in early reading, and can work with younger children who are on a variety of phonics programmes.
I am also able to work with children up to GCSE, and am very familiar with the English curriculum. I feel it is best to support pupils in their love and enjoyment for reading, rather than to make it like a chore.
