In my lessons, you can expect a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I follow a clear and consistent lesson structure that includes a focused introduction, teacher modelling, guided practice, and opportunities for independent learning. My lessons are interactive and dynamic, often including discussion, hands-on activities, and visual resources to support understanding and maintain high levels of engagement.

I have experience teaching in both Year 3 and Year 1, and observed experts within a range of year groups which has helped me develop a flexible and adaptive approach to planning and delivery. Working across these year groups has strengthened my understanding of progression and how to tailor lessons to meet the developmental and academic needs of different age groups. I use adaptive teaching strategies to ensure that all pupils – including those with special educational needs or working below age-related expectations – can access the learning and feel successful.

I strive to create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere where children feel confident to participate, take risks, and celebrate their progress. I use positive reinforcement to build self-esteem and encourage a growth mindset, helping pupils to stay motivated and resilient in their learning. My goal is not only to support academic progress but also to nurture curiosity, independence, and a love of learning that will stay with them beyond the classroom.
