I have recently graduated with 1st class honours and the student of the year award from a degree in ceramics. Before that, I achieved a distinction in an art foundation course. At school I received A* grades in my GCSE and A level art & design. I am passionate about art and helping others succeed in their art education, as well as knowledgeable about how to succeed in art at school and art college.
My lessons will be similar to the tutorials I received at art college, we will discuss the students’ work and their conceptual ideas, complete creative exercises to help them develop ideas and improve their skills as well as create work to fill sketchbooks, and ensure they fulfil marking criteria and can achieve the best grades possible. We will also look at artist research, ensuring they have high quality primary and secondary research.
Though I specialise in ceramics, I am experienced and knowledgeable in all other forms of 2D and 3D art including painting, drawing, printmaking, jewellery making, and sculpture, having completed a large number of workshops on my foundation course. I know what it takes to make a great sketchbook for GCSE, A level, foundation, or degree art courses, and am keen to pass on that knowledge. I was always marked well and praised for my sketchbooks at school and at university, as well as for my technical notes at university. I also achieved high marks in my dissertation and can therefore also provide tutoring for dissertations, research projects, and other essays.
