Learning from my own experiences as a student and then as a teacher I’ve got a few tricks in my pocket. It’s key to understand the individual needs of my students to use the adequate techniques that make lessons fun and long-lasting.
There’s nothing more rewarding than to see my students progress!
Music:
For my music lessons, I use notation, training by ear, backing tracks, playing jazz, pop, or evergreens and making sure fun is included in the lessons.
Together, we will find out what you like, what your strengths and weaknesses are and what you would love to be able to play. I will then craft and individualised plan and in every lesson we will progress into that direction with having some fun goals, like recording a duet together for example!
Languages:
For my language lessons, I always include some time for conversation and then specific exercises to progress in vocabulary, forming sentences and techniques and tricks to become great at understanding and knowing how to keep going to learn more. There will always be a little challenge, but I always make sure it feels rewarding and fun!
I love to use tools that motivate you and that are fun to you! For example a sport topic but now we will learn some facts about that in French! Or we talk about an artist you love in German.
Since I am native in those languages I will also show you some fun stuff like food and customs, geographical locations that exist in these countries! I’m sure you will love it!
