I am a French teacher. I have been teaching for 17 years in France, both in middle schools and high schools, with a CAPES in Modern Literature. I have prepared students for the brevet des collèges (middle school diploma) and the baccalauréat (high school diploma). Currently, I am a French language professor at Cardiff University, where I also teach French literature. I am also involved in language pedagogy research at the university. My online teaching is conducted via Zoom. I am passionate about language learning. I use textbooks adapted to the level I am teaching, as well as my own resources. I strive to offer my students an engaging learning experience, utilizing interactive features such as text reading, listening to audio recordings, and watching videos. I ensure that my students are able to think for themselves and understand within a supportive environment. Effective learning can only occur when students master what they are learning. That is why I regularly check with the learner to ensure they can apply their knowledge and demonstrate that they are the protagonists of their own learning. I provide homework assignments if the student's learning objectives require it. However, the homework should not sacrifice the playful, interactive, and lively nature of the learning process. I am always searching for new ideas and methods to make my teaching as enriching as possible.
