I enjoy teaching via a virtual whiteboard on Miro which I can share over Google call. This is the format I am most comfortable with due to my job in Strategy at a Fintech. However, I can also create a Google Jams board which is easier to access than Miro.

My content will include basic algebra, intermediate algebra, basic geometry, intermediate geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions- any and all of the fundamental concepts that help lay the foundation for a successful numeric career. I am aiming to teach students between the ages of 5 and 15.

I enjoy conversational tutorial sessions where students can ask questions, interrupt, and challenge my answers/examples. I want students to engage and build confidence in themselves rather than just learn. These skills are helpful later on in life. This is also why I'd prefer to teach students using a dynamic and modern portal like Miro rather than pen and paper. I will assign homework and ask students to also build their skills independently as it's important for students not to be reliant on one person for development. While learning is a vital skill, engaging with people to understand and challenge ideas is equally important.

My experiences as a tutor involve teaching older students (18+) at University. I did this for roughly 2 years before graduating from the University of Glasgow with a First Class Honours. However, I want to now help younger students realize their full potential and deal with more enthusiastic and curious individuals.
