Newly Qualified Optometrist (Mcoptom) who successfully completed pre registration in 10 months. Recently passed every stage of pre reg first time, providing top exam tips, preparation for visits and resources for final OSCEs.
I am able to support university students with various modules and subjects including binocular vision, anterior eye, contact lenses as well as a range of essential practical skills, including retinoscopy, slit lamp techniques, refraction and more. Pre reg can be one of the toughest years for students, with my very recent experience I am able to provide guidance on how to successfully complete each stage of the pre reg year including stage 2 DO and OA. I am able to go through each competency in detail and what the assessors are looking out for. Provide tips on up-keeping your log book to make sure you achieve your patient numbers. I can practically demonstrate clinical skills such as the cover test, pupil assessments, colour vision and stereopsis. I will provide the notes and recourse as well as recommendations for recourse that worked best for me to prepare for my OSCEs that allowed me to pass on my first attempt. I am also happy to provide tips on record keeping, time management and keeping well organised.
