I have delivered Arabic lessons to key stage 2 and 3 students at P.M.G.H.S
I used interactive methods for teaching including video and audio for boosting students spoken Arabic also I made games for the students to have fun in their learning
Teaching Methods:
flash cards and other modern vocabulary learning methods on a regular basis to increase students Arabic vocabulary
Oral Roleplays were conducted in topics like:
Introducing themselves, talking about their family, daily routine, about likes and dislikes, hobbies. Holiday experiences: ordering food at a restaurant, asking for directions in a foreign country, shopping experiences etc. every other week and they were expected to play board games using as much Arabic as possible for boosting their fluency in Spoken Arabic
Students were also making different classroom displays in the Arabic language like The days of the week, Names of the months, and names of the other curriculum subjects.
Students pretended to be Arabian chefs to prepare meals and explain the method of cooking in the Arabic language they were also thought about the different cultures and dialects of different Arabian countries and regions and the way each region dealt with situations events and everyday life eg how some Arabian countries saw some gestures and words as entertaining whilst other Arabian countries took the same gestures and words as offensive.
My students enjoyed the lessons many of them passed the exams with a B and C mark a few scored A and A* It was a pleasure teaching them
