My research interests include second language acquisition, second language pedagogy, integrating corpora in language teaching, written and spoken Colloquial Egyptian Arabic and believe the Egyptian linguistic reality is best represented by the notion of Code-switching in terms of recognizing Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Egyptian not only as two languages living side by side, but also in a state of integration rather than a state of a conflict, and teaching methodologies. I have more than twenty-five years of experience in teaching Arabic to Native speakers and non-native speakers. All my students are friends to me and still in touch with them because we spent a great time together by using the Arabic Language in different forms.
