Hal Khanom

I am currently undertaking my PhD (Materials Engineering) project and want to inspire and help students with their scientific knowledge. I have completed my undergraduate degree in Chemistry MSci from the University of Birmingham. I studied Chemistry (A), Mathematics and Biology at A-Level at a Grammar School. I have 7 A*, 3 A at GCSE.

I have taught laboratory modules to undergraduate STEM students. I have also supervised undergraduate students in their final year BSc laboratory projects. During my A-level studies I privately tutored Arabic. Now, I privately tutor GCSE Science, Maths & English and A-level Chemistry.

My tutoring approach is to allow the student to think about their processes on how to reach the right answers, and help them understand the answers. I will help teach the topic first and then completing past paper questions is a good approach. I can also tutor to what suits the student best as I know each student has their own way of thinking.

I will ask for Exam Board details and go over the syllabus with the student and ensure that all topics are covered and mark past paper questions for them.
