My lessons are very informative and I teach for understanding. The main purpose is the student learns. Depending on the student I will teach suiting their needs. I teach for mastery and will try my best to relate it to real life so students can relate and get a better understanding of the topic. Lessons are very engaging and won’t be only me talking and the students listening. I will be questioning them a lot.
My lessons will start off by introducing the topic in steps. I will always teach in small chunks and test for understanding after every step. The structure of every lesson is me explaining then asking the students questions and do a mini white board activity to see if they understand it and gives me an Indication of whether I can move on to the independent task or not. I will always test their understanding at the end of the lesson too and do an exit ticket.
I present using a PowerPoint and test papers. I share my screen on an iPad and have a pen and can annotate on top and explain the questions so it’s easier for students to see visibly.
