With various assessment techniques to identify the misconceptions you may have; we will be able to understand concepts easily by using scaffolding methods. Once we have identified any misconceptions, we work toward that and scaffold the concept as much as possible. Then we will do some practice questions. Where a lot of discussion around the topic will take place. Majority of my tutoring is student led in order to promote independent thinking. Once we have tried out some questions, we will be going through some real-life problems in order to make connections. And then we spend some time to reflect and think about what we have learnt so far. I value making real life connections through maths as much as possible to promote the idea that maths is not just a subject.
