I’d first begin with introducing a new topic and working through some questions. Then I’d give the student some time to do the questions themselves. Once marked and certain that the student has grasped the topic I would only then move on to the next topic. I would also get the student involved in mock exams to ensure that they can thrive under timed conditions. This is only frequent during exam periods. Lastly I offer out of hours support, so if the student has any questions during the week they can reach out via message and I can support them free of charge.
