I prefer to get to know you better first as I prefer establishing an understanding between myself and the student. This will influence how the lessons are formed and structured.
I would like the lessons to be engaging and as it is english, for the student to understand and be involved to not be afraid to make mistakes and engage in the lesson rather than being lectured and not fully understanding. This is my idea to reach and overcome by increasing confidence.
The content would be through either power point if the student is in GCSE or A level as it prepares them for more dense material. However lower years I would prepare questions and texts they would have to research and review, this is effective in my opinion as the way to improving English language and understanding is through consistent reading and thoroughly learning to understand texts and overall actually enjoying it.
I believe I would give my all to working with the student as tuition is the best way to get ahead in life, through hard work and dedication in an engaging manner I believe it goes a long way to building confidence in subjects that are daunting.
I am thorough, light hearted and friendly and understand what its like to be in tutoring and know what its like to engage with a poor tutor; my enthusiasm and energy is what sets me apart and what makes me the person I am. If you chose me you would be getting full transparency and full attention as it helps your child grow and develop in confidence in the subject.
