Gulhizar Akkaya

Hello. I am a graduate of Foreign Language Education from one of the most prestigious universities in Turkey, Bogazici University. I have also attended Graduate Programme in Linguistics in the same university. I have experience in various international teaching programs, contemporary teaching techniques and methodologies. As a teacher, My lessons include internationally well-known digital learning platforms that focus on all aspects of language learning process. I love to include games and gamification methods in my teaching hours. I believe learning by experience is one of the most effective ways for language learning. I adopt a communicative and emotional learning approach in my lessons. Interesets, emotions and readiness levels of my students play a central role in my lessons. Apart from that, I have worked as an Educational Consultant for individuals who wants to pursue their undergraduate and graduate education and career abroad, which enabled me to get familiar with a lot of universities and educational institutions from across the world. In my professional life, I have taken some different roles in education. I took up responsibility as a person who ensures the communications between the institutions and partners I have worked with. I have provided services according to the needs of individuals, schools, universities and different kinds of institutions. I have recently relocated into the UK. I am always eager to learn new things especially in the field of technology and communication. I believe learning goes on all through our lives and every second is an opportunity to improve yourself.
