I'm an illustrator, experienced working with children between ages 5-13, teaching at various art clubs. I also run my own painting workshops designed for adults. I have been drawing since a young age and I started to officially train for my fine arts studies at the age of 12. I studied drawing at the most established fine arts high school and hold a BA of textiles design with a focus on print design from one of the most prestigious design universities, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul, Turkey, where I am originally from. I've also studied children's book illustration and character design in London.
My lessons' content depends on individual student needs. The lessons can be as simple as learning how to draw a cat, or even making a lovely painting from a photo to gift someone. Or can be more elaborate, for example learning how to look at objects and learning how to draw realistically.
A session for a beginner learning watercolours for the first time and a session for an intermediate level student wanting to develop drawing skills would be different. If you let me know what you would like to gain from our lessons, I will prepare accordingly.
The lessons normally start with a short drawing warm up, followed by the student's main project whether it's a painting or a drawing. The warm up exercises can change depending on the student's level and the main focus of the lesson. Normally an hour long lesson wouldn't have any breaks, however I am happy to be flexible for the student's needs.
