Hello dear students,
I am a biology lecturer. I teach students of college( intermediate). I also hold experience of teaching students of O levels. For me teaching is not only about delivering the knowledge, infact, a teacher must be able to make a student visualize what they have taught and that too with reference to the practical life. This is the most important aspect I try to incorporate in my lectures. Moreover, I make use of videos and animations to support my previous idea. I prefer to use virtual whiteboard to make things explicit. I really appreciate participation and questions from students pertinent to the lecture. For this I try to keep the lecture more like discussions so that the student does not feel left out.
I try to add students participation to the lass by assigning the assignments, presentation and quizzes. Furthermore, an uptodate knowledge is very important. Cramming the old book material is though important but it is incomplete without knowing the things happening in the modern world of science. I really love to discuss the important research updates post lecture timing. Through this students will be connected to the modern research and can incite a spirit of research among the students and bring out ideas to deal with the modern world problems. I am very anxious and positive about the time I will have with my students.
