I am a University graduate in Business and management. I am currently training to become a British sign language interpreter. My methods of learning are activity based and conversations. I like to take an active approach with not too much homework but mostly fun activities that will help you visualise the information and internalise it.
I work with my students personally, making sure to cater to their needs. I am very organised so my teaching style is specifically modified to help the student learn easier and quicker. I will have planned lessons and fun actives which help to stay on track with the learning, whilst building their confidence of the English language.
I use a number of softwares, most commonly, Powerpoint and Word documents to illustrate the lesson plan and allow more visual explanations of the lesson. My method of learning is teach, read, assist and revise. From previous experience I have found that many of my students feel that allowing them to make errors helps them learn better as they are able to identify mistakes.
I like to motivate my students so upon completing tasks and passing small test or quizzes they will be rewarded with points and this will mean at the end of the learning period they will receive a prize if they reach their target. I like to use incentives to motivate and challenge my students to become the best version of themselves, whilst boosting their confidence in the English language. I have found this method to help motivate and boost morale for my students.
