I have been teaching English as a Second Language for 10 years. I have taught all age ranges and levels, including students who needed to take International Exams.
My passion for languages started when I was a teenager and was chosen by Rotary International to become an exchange student. I had been studying English for 10 years before arriving to the United States, and was shocked to discover I could not understand a word people were saying. This was not an accent-related problem. The problem was that the language had not been taught properly. Ever since then I became determined to make sure that something as unfair as that would never happen to others.
I have met many people who expressed fear when having to face a situation where they needed to communicate in English. It is important to understand that it is possible to take down that wall that stands between you and the power of communication, for your personal and / or work life, and I am certain I can help with that.
Part of my job is to be honest with you and suggest incorporating grammatical structures and vocabulary if necessary. However, studying grammar does not need to be boring. There are many ways to make the lessons interesting and dynamic.
Our first meeting would entail getting to know each other. You can share with me your needs and requirements, I can assess your situation, and then suggest the best course of action for you.
Can´t wait to hear from you.
Guada.
