Hello! My name is Greg - I'm a tutor of Music, and I study Music at the University of Cambridge. I hold a 95/100 Distinction in Classical Voice, and A*A*AA grades at A-Level. My future aspirations are centred around teaching/lecturing in music, as well as long-term professional vocal coaching.
I'd quite happily describe myself as a flexible tutor: whatever level you happen to be, and whatever it is within music you'd like to accomplish, I will only be too happy to accomodate your interests and craft personalised lessons for you. Ultimately, tutorial structure and content will depend entirely upon your personal goals:
Vocal coaching typically focuses initally on voice health and stability, then branches out into techniques specific to your genre/style of choice (Pop, Rock, Musical Theatre, Classical, etc.).
I have performed as the Voice of Audrey II in Little 'Shop of Horrors', Kevin Rosario in 'In the Heights', Jack in 'Into the Woods', Galileo in 'We Will Rock You', Caiaphas in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', Eddie Arch in 'Loserville', and Raoul in 'Phantom of the Opera'.
In terms of my experience with teaching, I have directed (dramatically and musically) 4 large-scale productions, which required that I taught cast-members with individualistic care and consideration, catering to and working around their voices and dramatic capabilities. My work as a singing tutor has also been successful, as I have recently managed to coach a Lyric Soprano with no prior experience through Grade 8 Classical Voice, for which she earned a 90/100 Distinction. I have also recently successfully coached an Undergraduate Cambridge applicant through the interview process.
