I try to make the content engaging to avoid repetition and not rely too much on memorisation. Whilst in biology a lot depends on remembering facts, understanding the foundation of biological processes can allow a student to solve questions they may not know the answer to directly through logical reasoning. I also try to teach direct and precise language in conveying biological results and to always consider every angle.

My expertise is on metabolism, cell biology, molecular biology and cell signalling but for pre-PhD level I can tutor in any biological field. I have so far supervised 7 BSc and 4 MSc students at UCL.
