I believe that learning methods can be different for each person. One person style of learning may not work others. For example. I must always rewrite every piece of information I am trying to retain for an exam or test. Reading from a screen or a text book doesn't work for me.

Writing out the information myself with a pen and paper helps me to concentrate and therefore understand and remember better.
While for others Reading from a screen works for them.

When tutoring, I try to find what best method suits the student. What are they more receptive too?
