My lessons are super informative but also increadibly engaging. I believe that the core of politics is discussion and understanding, and for these reasons I believe my debate and conversation based lessons are the most effective way of getting an amazing grade in politics. I have a degree level understanding of political theory and international relations, and with my deeper knowledge I can help you maximise your ability in politics.
I believe that whilst it is important having certain teaching styles, adapting to the learning styles of your students is paramount. For this reason I like to get to know my students as learners, not just exam-takers, an adapt my lessons to how they best recieve information, be it auditory, verbal, creative, or kinetic. I am an adaptive tutor, and this allows me to get results regardless of the style of learner you are.
I create strong presentations and note guides, allowing the students to focus on discussion and getting the most from the session rather than prioritising note taking. This is a skill I have learnt from numerous professors at my university, and is a university level experience that I believe students can massively benefit from. In this sense, the student can focus on talking to me, asking me questions, and getting involved in the content of the course. These levels of focus and discussion lead to better engagement with the content and therefore better grades. Particularly in an essay based course, good discussion skills are paramount, and this is a skill I massively focus on fostering in my students.
