I am an English Literature graduate with a 2:1 from the University of Leeds. I have an A in English Literature at an A-level standard, and two A*s in both my English Literature and English Language GCSEs. I have previous work tutoring for close family and friends in the months leading up to vital exams, but would like to put my literacy skills to the test in helping a wider range of people. Whether it's wanting to learn as a non-native speaker, or needing helping with revision, I'm here to put your mind at ease. I will be honest, but kind, in order to ensure there is no added pressure, and we will take our time adapting to your current skills and honing them to perfection. English can be a really fun language and subject, if approached in the right way, and that's where I come in. I will be working remotely, so through Zoom or Microsoft Teams (whatever makes you feel most comfortable.) Creating a safe environment for my students is incredibly important to me. I want you to feel free to ask however many questions you might need to at any given point, and know that I will work on a non-judgement basis. I have been published in newspapers and poetry books, so I have plenty of experience when it comes to writing long articles (including exam papers). Whether it's memorising quotes, or learning key grammatical tips that will help make your writing or speaking more coherent, I am at your service!
