Analysing various types of English is very important. Studying Old English can be extremely useful in understanding the meaning behind specific sentence structure etc. Shakespeare is a good example of this as he shows us that success comes through being creative and finding new ways to communicate. For the younger years and new generations, basic sentence structure is crucial to set them up for secondary school and maybe further education. The content of my lessons would be to review the material and then use that to answer some questions perhaps; as I find this is the best way to retain the most information.
At GCSE, I studied โMacbethโ by Shakespeare which taught me the importance of old English. As well as this I learnt the Christmas Carol which was a great contrast to Macbeth
