I have been working as an English Literature ans Language tutor over the last year.
It is my goal to try and help students with their workload and make it more easily understood and more enjoyable, as it is so much more difficult to try and study something you don't enjoy.
As a current English Literature student at university, my subject is my passion and I have access to a wide range of resources that will help put texts into context and also allow students to think wider about the texts that they are reading.
One thing I place a lot of emphasis on is critical thinking and I will encourage a lot of debates and research, as these are the foundations to any good essay response.
The most important aspect of writing for English is definitely the debate and exploring possible interpretations, one of the most important parts of studying this subjects is having an understanding of the texts and their meanings. I will try and use a much more conversation based approach to making studying English a lot less daunting and a little more fun.
