Grace Bennett

I have been working as a private tutor for 4 years. I have taught both younger children as well as high school students. I have a very relaxed and friendly approach which I tailor to my tutee's learning style. I am bubbly so I like when my students are the same, as lessons do not have to be so strict. I know the best tutors for me have been the ones I have built a working relationship with, so I like to do the same. I like to make lessons engaging and break concepts down in a way my tutee will understand, which I gauge through the lessons. I am both creative and analytical so I can work in both ways. My person learning style is visual and verbal though. I like to connect concepts together in unique ways to make them memorable or break them down piece by piece to understand how they work together.

I have recently graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science specialising in Marketing. I finished my degree with acceptance into the Golden Key International Honours Society (admission for the top 15% of academic achievers in my field of study), placement on the Dean's Merit List (an award given in recognition of consistent academic excellence) and receival of the Ogilvy & Mather Award (for the top UCT Business Science Marketing student in my final year). I am very academic and dedicated to my studies. I am also very much a people-person which is why I love tutoring so much.

The subjects I did in school which I completed with distinction was English, Mathematics, History, Visual Art, Business Science and Life Orientation.
