Personally I prefer visual learning so I would heavily incorporate that aspect into my lessons and teaching, via diagrams and visual stimulants. Repetition I believe is crucial to learning and exam preparation (as awful and annoying as it is). But mainly, I would cater my lessons to the students needs and work at their pace. I previously was tutored, for roughly 5 years, therefore I’m completely aware of the dynamic and content structure tutors are expected to provide. I found building a strong rapport between tutor and student to be beneficial to myself and it always helps to see a friendly face. I am passionate about this subject which will hopefully encourage the student to work harder. My primary aim is to create a more friendly and relaxed content workload, as opposed to the pressurised flow of school work. Furthermore, I have previous experience working with children as I held a job as a ‘Personal Assistant’ for two years, this demonstrates my ability to understand and cater the students needs and preferences. I thoroughly enjoyed this position and was reluctant to give it up to start University. My current studies are as a undergraduate and I’m on track to achieve a 2:1 once graduating. I truly believe I will be a beneficial tutor and look forward to meeting you.
