About me

I base my teaching style on how you learn best! Whether that's videos to help you understand a concept, or associating pictures with certain topics.

I find that 45-60 minutes is enough time for one session, it can be hard to concentrate after that. I do find that setting one or two practice tasks for after the session is how you get information to stick.

My style of tutoring will depend on what you're looking to get out of tutoring. If you're aiming for a 8 or a 9, I'll focus more on methods to tackle the harder questions, whereas if you're aiming for a 4 or 5, I'll provide you with the skills to boost your confidence and get some more marks.

I have completed a tutor training course, in which I had access to many resource platforms which I'd be happy to share. The best method I've found is scaffolding - providing support with questions and slowly removing the support one step at a time until you are confident in yourself and your ability.

The one thing I do stick to is practice: it's the best way to improve your grade in Maths!
