My lessons are customized to the current level of a student and their desired goals (e.g., use a Italian in a work setting or learn enough to visit on holiday). We will work on comprehension, reading, writing and speaking in stages to achieve the desired goal. I like to use diverse materials like films, YouTube videos, conjugation worksheets and storytelling to practice using what we learn. I especially like to use topics of interest to students to develop vocabulary around topics they are excited about like traveling, a specific sport, art, sailing, gardening, etc, in order to keep students engaged while using a familiar topic.
