Gloria Adetula

Hello, my name is Gloria. I have three years of experience tutoring 1-to-1 classes and focus groups of 4 students. I taught English as a foreign language; I taught English from beginner to advanced levels.

Throughout my education, I also had excellent tutors and could appreciate how much they supported me on my journey through school. The tutors listened well and helped me while challenging me to learn and explained things in a way I could understand. I realised that the classes I appreciated most were not the topics I was most interested in but the professors who made their classes more enjoyable.


My teaching style is encouraging and focused because I recognise that understanding my student’s strengths and weaknesses will allow for a personalised strategy that hones their strengths and develops their weaknesses. I went the extra mile to help the focus group of 4 students Because they needed the most help. I made lessons engaging and fun. The content of my lessons will include videos, books and pictures so that the students interact well. I am open to supporting the student and welcome suggestions or resources the student or parents recommend.

Our first session will be around you and understanding what you want from tutoring. I want to establish a positive relationship with my students where there is respect and communication.

I believe that every student can learn anything they put their minds on and have first hand experience of this.
