Hi, I am a Medical student with a previous degree in Medical Sciences and Humanities. I am Italian but have lived in the UK for 7 years. I love traveling and as a result of exchange studying programs I speak Spanish as well. I like studying and I believe that one really understands a topic once she is able to explain it to others. I have been practicing explaining skills since a very young age and it is my preferred study method. I like tutoring in interactive ways and feel gratified to see the progress made by who I am tutoring.
I have always delivered tutoring but never professionally. I have a younger brother who I have tutored throughout his school years. I have experience in tutoring A level Biology students. I have experience in tutoring University Sport Science students.
I have experience of both Italian and English schooling methods.
I like learning while having fun and using many analogies to make topics more interesting and easy to understand. I try to make analogies tailored to who I am tutoring (e.g.if you like football, I will try and make analogies with football). I usually conclude my sessions with a summary of what we have covered and ask the student to summarise back to me the content to make sure that he/she has understood or to cover things that we missed.
