I have worked with children from ages 5-10 with Spanish homework for over 3 years. When going through lessons in their Spanish homework, I would ask students to repeat after me as I pronounce certain words and phrases in the correct form. We go through this several times until they fully understand. We go over subjunctive and indicative conjugations, as this can be the most challenging part of learning the Spanish language. Going over the differences between these conjugations amongst others, creates a difference in their learning because it becomes less overwhelming to keep going when there's more to learn. Learning at a young age, I've noticed is the best way to absorb the information and execute speaking the language naturally, as if they were Native speakers.
