I am a qualified teacher/tutor with 25 years of professional experience with a degree, teaching English to all ages. I have taught both in the UK and overseas, I also support students who are working towards their Functional Skills exams in English and Maths. I often help students overcome any previous challenges they may have experienced in their learning in the past.

I am very patient, a good listener and I fully understand that learning a new language can be overwhelming at times. I have excellent communication skills and I have a clear understanding of the subject being taught. My sessions are fun, engaging and focus on the student’s strengths, developing the skills in the areas where needed most to build on confidence. Speaking, listening, reading and writing are the areas in which learning will be adapted to suit the needs of the learner and where much focus is on developing self-confidence to recognise your progress and ability.

My aim is to help each student achieve their learning goal which follows their pace in a respectful, compassionate and valued approach. Become an active learner, develop your skills with confidence and feel a deep sense of achievement as you feel motivated and reassured in your learning journey.
