i like to make lessons fun and enjoyable. After an initial conversation to assess your needs I will plan lessons so that each session will recap and build upon the last.
I use several techniques to assist with memory and pronunciation which often include mime, role play, scenarios, repetition and matching words. I tend to avoid using or reciting long lists of vowel endings as I find them tedious, especially at beginner level. Memories of endless vowels on blackboards put me off languages when I was younger so I find other ways to embed these into my teaching.
I lived in Italy for 6 years in Milan and was fortunate to share an apartment with Italian friends who had impeccable pronunciation. I had a lot of fun learning the language and like to incorporate that passion into my teaching.
