Whilst the aim is, of course, to achieve the highest grades possible in the exams, a major aim for me is that my students become empowered and independent learners, who understand how they can learn best. I try to emphasise this is my lessons by highlighting how we learnt something, or discussing what has/hasn't worked with this topic.
I have worked in several posts over a period of 2 years, mainly working with disadvantaged children in KS3 maths, and GCSE sciences, along with a lot of peer tutoring at GCSE and A-Level. I am also a Medical Student, and teaching is something embedded into our curriculum, as we get to do a lot of it.
