Having taught Spanish for 7 years and tutored many students of various ages, backgrounds and levels, I understand how important is to placing learners at the centre of teaching, so once I have found out my students' level, prior knowledge, needs and interests, I carefully plan my lessons around them. My lessons are mostly learner-centred, fun and varied, in which the four language skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing) are combined to help you achieve fluency. However, if your focus is on improving your conversational skills in Spanish, I put emphasis on speaking, providing you with a range of practice activities such as small oral presentations, role-plays, among other activities.
Furthermore, I use the communicative approach, which means that you will have lots of practice speaking Spanish from the start with a focus on meaning rather than on form. We will use audio, video and written materials so you know how the language is used in contextualized, practical and real-life scenarios.
