I have been a maths teacher(tutor) for over 18 years , having gained experience in 1-2-1 tutoring, small, large group or class, as well as online tutoring, using various platforms, such as Zoom, Teams, Google meet, and platforms that belong to a particular company, when applicable.
My lessons are tailored to meet the student's needs and requirements. I teach maths at all levels, including primary at KS2, secondary KS3,KS4, A-level KS5, as well as Further Maths.
During my past employment, I have trained some of my best A-level students to take part in one of the UK Maths challenge competitions, where two of my students were awarded a bronze and silver medals.
In my lessons, I have consistently aimed for traditional learning, as well as learning using technology, so that students become familiar with various maths websites, that will enable them to complete online exercises and quizzes based on the topics taught.
I have also taught maths in various settings, involving pupils of special needs , where I had to differentiate their work and made sure all pupils were able to work at their preferred level, also attempting to challenge them , by giving harder or extra hard work, for better exam preparation.
At the end of each chapter, I tend to give students a short assessment to make sure the learning has taken place and to identify any possible gaps or misconceptions in the students knowledge. Being assessed, asking questions and learning from mistakes is the best way to learn anything. I look forward to working with you.
