For me playing drums is more than love, it's a calling in life. With 20 years experience behind the kit. I Have covered everything from rock to country, From jazz to funk and everything inbetween. I have recorded and toured with Chris Tood and the Hardchargers.  Played drums and percussion in a contemporary dance opera to a sold out crowd in the cork opera house as part of the midsummer festival. Had the opportunity to work with the legendary producer Dave Lynch in Echo Zoo studios in Eastbourne England.  Played support for Teenage fan club and Richard Dawson respectively in the empire music hall, and had the privilege of sitting in with the late great Rab mccullough.
He currently plays with Ginger fingers (a jazz, funk, blues and soul collective). Papa luna (with the legendary Phil Woolsey from Joyrider) and the Barry Mcgivern Rory Gallagher tribute band, which takes him all over the country gigging.  As well as a residency at the world famous Rory Gallagher international festival every year in Ballyshannon. I have several students currently from various ages and abilities and my approach is to combine practice, philosophy and practical application to the drum kit. I also include percussion lessons and integration with the drum kit. I also provide listening tasks for ear training and encourage the study of other high profile drummers.
