I am happy to tailor my tutoring to whichever learning style suits the students needs. I mostly teach using PowerPoint presentations and interactive tutorial question based sessions to test the students knowledge and identify any weak areas. However, I understand teaching methods are not a one size all method so I am happy to tailor these to what the student finds easiest to learn from and that are the most engaging to them.


If the tutoring session was an hour long the lesson plan would be split into a 20-30 minute presentation explaining and teaching the key concept of the topic. There would then be a tutorial sheet of approximately 5-10 questions depending on the topic which would take 15 minutes for the student to complete. Then the last 15 minutes would be marking the students work alongside them so we could discuss any errors/ common mistakes and then homework if required/desired could be explained and set for the following session. There is room for variation here but this is what I have found most successful from my experience both as a student for the last 19 years of my academic studies.

I am also happy to offer revision sessions either content specific of one off revision tips and techniques I have learnt across my many years of education and exams!
