We will use the joy of reading and storytelling to bring the English language to life. The art of writing is a key tool to utilise in order to expand understanding of English.

At a basic level we will cover :

• Grammar
• Pronunciation
• Vocabulary
• Spelling

The main purpose will be to improve listening,reading, speaking and writing. This will, in the long run enable the speaker to use the English language confidently.

Through practicing story writing, poetry and storytelling, the pupil can become more confident in the use of proper nouns, pronouns and verbs within written texts. Through practice of storytelling, the pupil will become more confident in proper pronunciations and cadences of words and texts. Stories, poetry, letters, even music can provide much insight into feeling and mood of the writer. By understanding the tone or meaning behind the writing, we can bettee understand the context. This will provide great insight into how to imply meaning into our own words. This will help understand the subtle inflections of the English language.

My teaching style is fluid, guided by the learner and their needs and aspirations. I believe that as a learner, you will choose your own path to learning and by doing so, learn more efficiently and effectively. I believe that the English language itself is so vast and bountiful that trying to frame it with structure would be sacrilegious and almost spoil the beautiful nature of the language itself.
