In my experience I find children can learn a lot through play, weather it be using toys such as figurines or teddy’s , art supplies such as paper and scissors or even just plain wooden blocks if it is set up and explained children can learn and play at the same time and reach those important milestones.
I enjoy using said items for maths in teaching as you can learn lots of different things such as problem solving , addition and subtraction, multiplication and division and weight and height difference.
For teaching English I enjoy telling stories , creating stories, using teddies and puppets to create small plays with children and even doing word games. I find teaching spelling to be fun but sometimes hard for children so I like to teach words through songs and games which children find fun and sometimes comical.
All children learn differently and some might need that extra bit of attention which I am always happy to attend to but I am also always searching for more new, creative and fun ways to teach children.
For children who English is a second language I always try and use some of their home language to help them feel comfortable with me being their teacher , I do this by asking parents for certain key phrases that they use or I use the internet and try to teach myself.
My lessons will always be full of happiness and fun and I hope you think I am the perfect person to teach your child.
