I have tutored in Spanish, French and Latin in the past and the student I tutored in A Level Spanish went from a failing grade to a passing grade, allowing her to go to her university of choice based on her grades. I taught English as a foreign language for 2 months in Thái Binh, Vietnam, which allowed me to hone my teaching skills and become adept at making lesson plans. Additionally, it provided me with the challenge to teach a language to students of different proficiencies - some having no knowledge of English at all, and others having a very high level of English.
For teaching, I will use an online platform such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams for my classes (depending on whatever one is easier for the student). Resources wise, I will be using a textbook entitled 'A New Reference of Modern Spanish' (frequently used and recommended by Spanish Language professors at the University of Oxford) for grammar help (simplifying the grammar points depending on the level), various audio files (perhaps some from past listening papers - again depending on the level) and frequent vocabulary tests.
If the tutoring session is for extra help with GCSEs, A Levels or the equivalent, I will teach content on the relevant exam board's specification. Let me know the name of the exam board (e.g. CCEA, AQA, WJEC) in advance so I can research their teaching specification and create lesson plans accordingly.
All in all, my classes will be personalised to each learner based on their academic level and learning type (eg audio, kinetic..)
