I provide a comprehensive teaching approach tailored to the student's level of knowledge. To begin, I offer a clear explanation of relevant theories and derivations, establishing a solid foundation. The majority of our time is spent actively working through a variety of questions, ensuring the student can confidently solve the diverse range of problems encountered at the A level.
Our focus will initially be on addressing any areas of difficulty and prioritising problem-solving skills. As the year progresses, we will dedicate time to revisiting and reinforcing stronger areas, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the subject matter.
To supplement our in-class sessions, I will provide the student with additional questions to practice independently. I firmly believe that learning is best achieved through active engagement, so the emphasis will always be on practical exercises. Ample time will be given for the student to contemplate and analyse each problem before providing guidance and arriving at the solution, if necessary.
Taking into account the individual student's pace, I ensure thorough coverage of all content before transitioning to the next topic. The curriculum will encompass all topics in AS and A2 for mathematics and physics. In the realm of programming, I will guide the student through fundamental programming concepts and gradually introduce more complex code and advanced data structures, challenging their skills progressively.
Many STEM disciplines are closely related, as such when material is covered, we will also briefly discuss why and how a particular concept is used and why it is important, this will be particularly useful for mathematics and physics.
