Flexible teaching style that responds to the specific needs of individual students. Teaching begins with a brief initial conversation to determine student needs and desired goals, with lesson plans adapted according to these specific requirements. This may include, for example, more of a focus on relevant skills such as interrogating exam questions, planning answers, etc, or more content-driven lessons designed to improve understanding of the historical events and processes featured in curricula.
Lessons begin with a brief initial conversation to determine goals. They each follow a clearly signposted structure split into an introductory section to frame the topic, a middle section, and a concluding section where we highlight and recap the key points.
Can teach online or in-person, with extensive experience in both formats. For online lessons, I am fully literate in relevant software such as MS Teams and Zoom.
Able to teach any subject in late modern history for any exam board. Particular expertise and experience in teaching British and Irish history and twentieth century European history.
